In the Summer Semester 2025 this course will take place in an "inverted classroom" format. Course materials, reading assignments, lecture videos, in-class exercises, and homework exercises will be made available via this platform. To access this information, you should register for this course on the whiteboard platform and make sure that you view this site as a registered participant, not as a guest.

Course content: Introduction to (non-relativistic) Quantum Field Theory: Green functions, diagrammatic perturbation theory and Feynman diagrams, selected applications to condensed matter systems.

Target audience: Masters students in physics.

Prerequisites: Advanced Quantum Mechanics. This includes knowledge of the second-quantization formalism, Fermi-Dirac statistics, and elementary scattering theory. Further, if you haven't taken it before, it is recommended that you also register for the course Statistical mechanics and Thermodynamics that is offered this semester.
