The students work out a relevant topic of current research in visualization and computer graphics. In a preliminary meeting, research articles are supplied. The students work on them independently and prepare a presentation containing examples and discussion (max. 90 min). Implementations of the presented algorithms can be used by way of illustration. Additionally, a preparation of the presentation will be submitted explaining the content of the presentation in detail.
Topics might be:
- general techniques in visualization
- visualization of vector fields
- rendering
- image processing
- smoothing
- discrete methods on 3D models
- animations
