Ziel der Vorlesung ist die Vermittlung der biophysikalischen Grundlagen zur Beschreibung und zum Verständnis von Struktur, Dynamik und Funktion biologischer Moleküle.
Stichworte zum Inhalt:

  • Biologische Makromoleküle - eine Einführung;
  • Struktur komplexer Biomoleküle;
  • Selbstorganisation von Proteinen und Membranen durch "hydrophobe Kräfte";
  • Ionen, Protonierung und Proteinelektrostatik;
  • Temperatur und Proteindynamik;
  • Grundlagen der Molekülmechanik-Berechnungen;
  • Proteinfaltung und Strukturvorhersagen;
  • Motorenzyme und Bewegung auf Nanometerskalen.
