The course tackles state-of-the-art modeling and algorithmic challenges for Future Mobility Applications (FMAs) such as optimizing autonomous vehicle control, intelligent garbage truck navigation, relief vehicles response, ambulance intervention, and drone allocation for firefighting. It does so by combining concepts from three disciplines:
Vehicle Routing Problem, Computational Social Choice, and Ethics. During the project, the students will put their hands on research projects where they will get to know methods from these areas. Thus, they will develop, design, and implement algorithms, as well as simulate experiments.
