Topic: Morphology and palaeobiology of marine tetrapods
Qualification goals:
Students acquire knowledge of the bauplan, functional morphology and evolution of marine tetrapods. They learn the approach to scientific issues and questions and are able to independently analyse and critically evaluate contexts and research interpretations.
Contents:
Comparative anatomy, evolution and palaeobiology of selected groups of marine tetrapods with a focus on mammals (including whales) with special topics on functional morphology, special adaptations, habitat and species conservation programmes of recent representatives.
