Goals: The students will work on a project and learn how to obtain images, spot analyses, element distribution maps, and standardizations. Participants will be qualified to adjust the instrument settings to a specific research question and to critically discuss the role of reference materials, data quality, and sources of errors. Treatment of measurement data (tables, mappings) will be discussed. A report has to be handed in after the course.
The successful participation in the BSc course on electron microprobe analysis is highly recommended!
Registration is only possible at the beginning of the semester via the course instructor. The course will take place during the semester break. Changes to the schedule can be discussed.
