C - Colloquium of the Institute of Geosciences (Lecture series)
Akt: 27.10.2021 12:00
Thu, 16:00 - 18:00
(G 202 Hörsaal Geographie)
The students are familiar with representative current research topics in the geological sciences. They are able to question approaches and results of scientifically complex topics through meaningfully formulated critical thinking and are familiar with working methods and objectives of scientific working groups including those outside their own institute.
Research results on current topics in the geological sciences are presented, mainly through guest lectures by (inter)national scientists. In addition, new scientific findings from the ongoing work of the various geological disciplines are presented and discussed, and various current topics are discussed through literature studies. The two-semester duration of this module enables students to gain a representative insight into the diversity of geoscientific topics and to accompany research topics between hypothesis and publication using examples. The module provides a comprehensive insight into the diversity of current geoscientific research topics within and outside the institute and offers first direct experience of the daily routine of research in developing fields of work.
Jeder Zuhörer ist herzlichst willkommen.
