The students will have knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of palaeoecological analyses and interpretations for application in environmental reconstructions.

Content:

Actualism principle, abiotic and biotic structures of ecosystems, niche concept, food web and other organismic interactions, organismic remains as data carriers of environmental signals.
