The elective module deals with the topics data, data management, data science and data literacy from a computer science education perspective.
In addition to the technical basics of this topic, which will be elaborated in the seminar, an important focus will be placed on insights into the importance of data in different educational contexts and the respective promotion of data literacy skills, especially with a focus on computer science education in schools.
Among others, the following topics are planned, but these can still change in the context of a current seminar arrangement oriented to the interests of the participants:
- Data literacy from a scientific and didactic perspective
- Professional Foundations: Data Management and Data Science
- Competencies in dealing with data
- Implementation of Data Literacy in Computer Science Teaching: curriculum references, tools and ideas for teaching
- Ethical aspects in dealing with data and their importance for informatics education
Note on appointment:
In the KVV, a weekly appointment of 180 minutes (equivalent to 4 SWS) was scheduled.
However, as this is a 3 SWS seminar, some of the appointments will be canceled in consultation with the participants.
