The title of the book is an allusion to the pearl chain of the god Indra: the pearls are reflected in each other, the mirror images are also reflected... Spheric reflections or mobius transformations of the sphere correspond to the broken linear transformations of the complex plane. The book tells about the beautiful pictures that arise from all possible compositions of two different Möbius transformations.
